Maddie's 3rd Birthday

June 18th- My girl turned 3!

We had a Rainbow themed birthday party!
(Why you ask? Well a few months ago she was obsessed with this My Little Pony named Rainbow Dash... she'd get excited about anything rainbow and say it was for Rainbow Dash! Thus how i came up with her theme... pluuus, you can do so many fun things with rainbows!)

Her cute cake, which wasn't too hard to make (minus the inside part that I dyed all different colors to make colorful rainbow swirls)

Lots of rainbow themed food!... rainbow fruit skewers, rainbow colored skittles, rainbow rice krispie treats, and this yummy funfetti dip that looked rainbow-ish :)

Some rainbow party bags for the kids with lots of rainbow goodies inside!... rainbow stickers, rainbow looking suckers, multi-colored bubbles, rainbow slinkys etc. Good enough for the kids!
We also added some of Maddie's previous artwork to the display... she made a rainbow picture a few months before by glueing fruit loops and marshmallows for the clouds.

"Madison is now 3! We're 'over the rainbow' with excitement!"

A bounce house all for Maddie! Her dream come true!
(Hope this doesn't set a false standard for her to expect for all her birthdays to come! haha If she already had a bouncehouse in the backyard for her 3rd birthday, what could she possibly want next year to top this?! This could be bad!! :) )

Testin it out with Oupie

The kids had a blast bouncin away! Maddie was bouncing for literally 3 hours off and on! She loved every minute of it!

Aunti Dani gave her a Nala to go with her BFF simba! She didn't put it down the rest of the night :)

Friends! Finally got a pic all together :)

the grumpy birthday girl... she was mad that we didn't bring simba with us when opened up nala... life is rough when you're 3.... :)

Glad Jurnee could make it up all the way from Logan :)

Jayden turns one!!

May 23rd...Happy 1st Birthday Jayden!

As always, I like to go kind of overboard on my kids' parties! Even though they're little, I have fun and like to do it! Jayden had a BUG themed birthday party this year!
I had fun making a bunch of bug antenna headbands for the kids (and adults). Each kid got a bug kit to use for our "bug hunt" and take home after. Gotta love the dollar store for all my cheap props! :)

Some of the kid food: butterfly shaped PB&Js, a butterfly snack bag (with goldfish and grapes), and "dirt n worms" (oreo pudding dessert).
We also had "ants on a log," "roly polys" (chocolate covered raisins), gummy worms, and "bug juice" to drink.

More festive food! My Aunt made this adorable caterpillar out of different colored cupcakes!

Jayden's very own cake to dig in to: a magnifying glass with ants in case you can't tell! :)

I made so many bug antennas that us adults wore them too!

Helping Jayden open all his presents
One of the activities was a BUG HUNT! We hid lots of dollar store play bugs in the sand and let the kids catch them in their new bug kits. They all went to town!

Playin a little volleyball/soccer game with Maddie and Josh

Cake time!! It was too windy to light the candle so we just pretended... :)

As you can tell he really was not a big fan of getting his hands dirty! haha He wasn't really touching his cake so we stuck his hand in there and he fussed til we wiped it off! :)

Me and my boy!!!!!

Love those blue eyes!
